Walk and Bike to School Day

Wednesday, October 3 is International Walk and Bike to School Day! To celebrate this event, St. Ambrose school will bring its Walk on Wednesday program back for the fall.
The school began this weekly event in the spring as a component of the Town of Cheverly Safe Routes to School Program. Before the school day, students and parents meet at Legion Park and walk up the hill to school.
The goals of this program are:
To improve health and physical activity.
To make the school area safer by decreasing vehicle traffic.
To improve air quality near school by reducing vehicle pollution.
