There are so many ways to enhance your relationship with God. We are all on a journey, and the more we have an awareness of God’s presence on that journey with us, the more fantastic life is. One such enhancement is daily Mass. A 25-minute celebration of the Eucharist during the week is like a shot of grace to get you through the week. The highlights of my week come twice a week when I celebrate daily Mass with the students from the school. We have a dialogue homily, and the children are always eager to talk about how the scripture readings apply to their lives.
Beginning with the summer Mass schedule (beginning Memorial Day weekend), we are changing the daily Mass schedule in the hopes that it will be more convenient for a larger number of people. Mondays we will combine our Mass with Saint Joseph Parish in Largo. Father Alex and I celebrate that Mass there each week because it is Fr. Roy Campbell’s day off. There is a wonderful group of people who celebrate the Mass at 8:15. Do come and meet them if you have a chance. On Tuesdays we will have a Mass at 7 PM in Spanish. From Wednesday through Saturday the daily Mass will be at 8:30 AM.
If you’ve never had a daily shot of grace to keep you going between Sundays—do try it because you may just find that your journey of life will be more joy filled.
Your brother,
Fr. Kevin C. Kennedy
