Thank you to everyone who participated in the Ministry Fair last weekend. I especially appreciated how so many of you produced such creative displays and the many goodies to eat and drink that were offered. For me, there are a few important reasons for the Ministry Fair. It's a way for groups and ministries to provide information about who they are and to attract new members. Additionally there is a symbolic value to the Ministry Fair.
The visual witness of so many ministries represented in Fannon Hall painted a picture of who we are as a faith community. The witness of so many dedicated parishioners makes us all more aware of how vibrant parishes are built by active parishioners. People of all ages and backgrounds are finding ways to give of their time and talents to the well-being of Saint Ambrose Parish. Many of you are doing the work of ministry every day without notice or public recognition. The Ministry Fair is a way to raise the level of awareness among people who are not involved in a ministry about how dedicated people are uplifting our parish every day.
The Ministry Fair is just one more way we are a community in which everyone is striving to experience the living God.
