We don’t often think of the phrase “customer service” when we think about the church, but that’s the reason we are changing the office hours for the parish. The Parish Office serves the community by managing the business of the parish and responding to the needs of parishioners. Beginning the first of July, the parish office hours will better reflect the times when it is more convenient to people to visit the office.
The Parish Office will be open Monday through Wednesday from 10 am to 5 pm. That’s a half hour later than the current schedule because more people come to the office in the afternoon than in the morning. On Thursdays the office will be open from 10 am to 3 pm and closed all day Friday (later in the week the office gets less traffic). On Sundays the office will be in the vestibule of the church from 10 am to 3 pm. We are thinking that many of the services we provide would be more convenient for parishioners if they were offered before and after Sunday Masses. So beginning in July you can reserve rooms for meetings, get information about receiving sacraments, or obtain Mass cards when you come to Sunday Mass.
One of the things we know about Jesus is that he was customer service oriented because he went to meet people where they were. I’m hoping our new office hours meet you where you are.
