Students studied different art forms from around the world, creating a work of art inspired by each art form. First they learned about the Adinkra cloth from Ghana and then created their own symbol to represent "praising God". Each student stamped their symbol 4 times and we combined all the symbols together to make one work of art. From there we traveled to Mexico where we learned about art made from tin. They drew an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe into metal, coloring it with markers. And then from the ancient Greek and Roman mosaics they created a mosaic using mat board tiles. Throughout the project they made a little book about the different art forms that they studied.
